Pillar of Justice Award

On September 12, 2024, Maria Diamond received the prestigious Pillar of Justice Award by the Washington State Association of Justice (WSAJ) at its annual convention at Suncadia. The award is infrequently awarded to “A person, persons or organization who has made superior, extraordinary contributions or achievements to advance the mission of WSAJ through representation of injured persons, participation in legislative efforts, development of case law, or raising awareness of civil justice and the right to jury trial.”

According to the plaque inscription, Maria is especially honored “For your extraordinary commitment and contributions to civil justice locally and nationally, and for the inspiration you provide for all who strive to uphold the principles fundamental to a just society. “We have been Maria’s clients since the mid-1990’s and developed more than an attorney-client relationship. One of our cases resulted in the need for extensive surgery, and we struggled with our insurance to cover the cost of the initial surgery and recovery. Maria was instrumental in resolving all of these issues. Successful legal representation can only be judged by the outcome and the client’s overall satisfaction. In our case, we have been more than pleased with the results and Maria’s expertise.” Rose and David F-W
